Excerise pain

I took a long walk yesterday, about 3 miles. I came home exhausted (did it in about 45 mins mostly uphill and pushing a stroller). I took a shower, hydrated with a bottle of water, and relaxed. this morning I woke up sore, so I took ibuprofen, and felt great. At about 4:00 today I took a shower, and started to get the chills. Ever since that shower I have bundled up in sweats and am freezing in 75degree weather. Can I really feel like this after a long walk? I wont lie I'm not in shape and overweight, but I really dont know how something like this can just come on so fast. Any help would be great.

I doubt your symptoms are from the walk.... I think it is just a coincidence.

There are a lot of viruses going around the entire US. I think you are probably coming down with one..... or maybe a cold virus.

As you know there is no real treatment for a virus. We just have to wait them out. Drink plenty of fluids and stay warm. If you get worse or your symptoms last longer then normal be sure to consult your PCP. However if you're concerned now don't hesitate to contact your physician now.

Best of Luck to You,

Maybe you are coming down with a cold or the flu.  Check to see if you have a fever (making sure there is no ibuprofen or tylenol in your system at the time).  My son and my husband just fell asleep spontaneously sitting up in their chairs and woke up with fevers and congestion.  Cold and flu season has arrived!  Hang in there.  Hopefully your symptoms will resolve on their own in a few days.  If not, make an appt. to see a doctor.
