Facial Pain

Recently, we were in a very minor accident (meaning we didn't even hit the car in front of us but I did hit the thing were the airbag is meant to fly out of to prevent this) and since then I've had a headache and facial pain on the right side of my face. It's as if it's numb on top and sore underneath if that makes any sense. I've heard about nerve damage and I'm not sure if I should see a doctor or just wait it out? Please give me some advice, it'll be greatly appreciated.

I also say to get it checked out, any kind of pain should be checked out by a dr. I have face pain but it is from dental work.
It does sound like nerves but I am not a dr so only a dr could tell you that. I am so glad your ok.

Hi,

I want to welcome you to the Pain Management Forum and let you know that we are glad that you have found this Forum. I need for you to understand that there are NO Doctors on this Forum. We are all CP (Chronic Pain) Patients that hel each other by using our expertise and experience that we have gained thru our pain conditions.

I'm very sorry to hear of the auto accident that you were in. I'm VERY glad that you didn't hit anything or anyone else. However, I'm concerned about what you are experiencing AFTER the accident.

I think that you need to go to the ER or to your Dr. and get checked out. You could have a concussion. I'm VERY surprised that they didn't take you to be checked out when the accident occurred.

Oh, I bet that the authorities weren't called. Is that what happened? Were the police called?

You DEFINITELY need to go and get this checked out. The sooner the better!!!

PLEASE keep us updated as to what you find out. We're ALL very concerned about your head and what's going on......Sherry
