Fascia Release therapy/massage

Has anyone tried this technique for chronic back pain (arthritis) ?

Found something on the web about it and was curious.

Thanks in advance!

Actually my PCP, an Internal Medicine Doctor of Osteopathy does a fascia release in my SIJ area every few weeks. I find it very helpful. It is one of the few things that relieves some of my pain.

I think it is worth a try. In my opinion if it is done correctly it certainly can't hurt.

Of course she also does other things like OTM (Osteopathic Manipulation Therapy) which includes myofascial release.

What kind of a practitioner is offering this procedure? I know that some D.O.'s practice this technique. In my opinion they are the best.
