HELP!!

Im sorry to post thyis in this section but im not sure where this would be app. for. For the past 4 months i have had pretty bad knee pain whice just the other day turned severe. The pain now shoots up and down my legs. I couldnt even sleep last night it was so bad, i just stayed up and cryed. Today my hands are sore along with my legs and a mild pain in my right side, right under my ribs.  Ive also had more migraines lately. I am also so tired.Im so scared because i dont know what causes this. I know i need to got o doctor but i have no insurance and my money is slim because i am supporting my 4 mt old son. Someone told me it sounded like i may have leukemia and that brought me to tears. ANother person said it sounded like arthritis becuase the symptoms seemed to get worse when its rainy or cold. I dont know what to to do. I am just terrified of the cause is. If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated.

I went to 3 different orthopedic doctors about my knees, my right knee being the worst, I got 3 different diagnosis.  One said it was something called chrondomalacia (which is wearing out of the cartilage), another said it was what I think you might have, ITB tendonitis (this can start from the hip and go down the leg), and the last one said it was osteoarthritis or possibly rheumatoid arthritis.  What I do is I look everything up on the internet to find out as much as I can.

What bothers me about your post is that you say you have pain in your fingers.  So that has nothing to do with your knees or legs.  I am wondering if you could have an autoimmune disease, which would be rheumatoid arthritis or lupus or something along those lines.  The only way to tell is to see a rheumatologist and get tests.  I am actually doing that on Friday this week.  It took forever to get a referral and an appointment with one.  Also, how old are you?  I am assuming you are younger, and often the rheumatoid type of arthritis starts around 30 or so.  I know because my sister has it.  She got it, actually, right around 32 or so I think.

On the other hand, if you feel on your knees, you could have damaged something at that time.  Did you go to a doctor then?

I hurt my knees pretty bad about 2 years ago i feel really hard on them. They were numb for 3 months after that. I wasnt sure what made them do that. I would hope its something that will go away. I have gained alot of weight from my pregnancy, About 60 extra pounds ive so far lost 30lbs. Itshurts on my knee cap and right below and above it. The pain shoots through my legs though and can go from my hips to my ankles. SOmetimes it even hurts in my fingers but not aslot.

Oh yea and thanks for responding to my post.

Hi, did you have a fall or were you exercising or doing any type of work that would make you sore?  The knees, I can relate to, my knees are terrible and I get the shooting pains.  It could be a tendonitis problem because there are tendons called ITBand on the outside of the knees.  Is that where it hurts?

Migraines are common in young women.  They are related to the menstrual cycle and hormones.  And your side is maybe sore from holding a baby.  I really don't see how any of this means you have leukemia.  I would not worry about that.  You could have the start of arthritis in your knees.  Also, are you overweight?  That is my problem, also, and it makes the knees worse.
