From my understanding a lot of new rules with healthcare make Norco generally available on most healthplans, whereas Percocet and many other medicines will be impossible to get prior authorization for. Some medicines have not reached the point where generics are available, making them prohibitively high costs for ins. Or patients, it sounds as if your Dr. Is on the right track giving you Norco. No worries!
