Headaches

Headaches (all day long), Dizziness, Fatigue, Insomnia (anxiety) , Tingling (face, hands, & feet), Sleep Apnea, Rapid Heartbeat

About a year and a half ago I started getting these symptoms……

Last May I had UPPP and Septoplasty done for my sleep apnea....b/c a lot of these syndromes are caused by not having sleep.  After the surgery…I continued having these symptoms…my ENT recommended me to go see a Neurologist…..all my test came back fine.

In the past, I have been a substance abuser and this was caused these symptoms.

Does anybody have any input on what this might be?

Hello Jck,

Welcome to the Pain Mangement Forum of MedHelp. I am sorry to hear about your chronic headaches and related medical issues. We know how frustrating chronic pain can be and disruptive it is to our daily lives.

Your symptoms sounds as if they are nerve and anxiety related. And when I say nerve I mean nerve endings, nerve fibers and/or damage. When we have undiagnosed pain our anxiety kicks up. Anxiety can exuberate our pain and symptoms. I know that is true for most of our chronic pain sufferers.

I agree with Sandee that these symptoms are unlikely related to your former drug use. Do you have a PCP that you have built a trusting and a good relationship with? If not I encourage you to begin your search for one. Nothing can replace that relationship as you search for answers to your symptoms.

If you don't mind sharing can you tell us have you had a head CT? What kinds of diagnostic tests have been done and what were the results? I am not a physician nor an expert I can only offer you suggestions, support and information based on my background and personal experience. If you respond to our posts we will try to help you determine what your next step should be based on our personal opinions.

I apologize that none of us can give you a diagnosis. Please let us know how you are doing and keep in touch.

Take Care,
Tuck

I do not believe that any substance abuse problems caused your symptoms.
Have you had a nerve conduction study done? It seems like you could have some nerve damage.
What test did your neurologist take? An MRI, CT scan?
