Help in finding methadone DR. in Alabama PLSE

I have been going to a methadone clinic for 7 years, but I have started a new job that their hours will not agree with the clinic.  Please help me with finding a Dr. that will write methadone in their office, please, I need someones help!!  In ALABAMA

You would have to find a doc who does office methadone maintenence. A pain doc or clinic won't take someone from a clinic. I've been in this situation and it's a tough choice. You may have to make a tough choice or find a substitute drug. all the best

It seems like I read that their was a clinic in Hamilton in northwest Alabama.  I may be mistaken but I think I remember seeing an article in a friend's newspaper about this.  It might be worth checking out.

if you find one, let me know,  my husband was in a MMT clinic in Gadsden alabama for 6 years and got kicked out because he disagreed with the doctor there. He then went into Pain Management, because he has a legitimate chronic condition. He received Methadone there for over 2 years, then the doctor cut him off COLD TURKEY  (january 2008) because he was of the opinion that he wasn't taking his meds.  We have been unable to get into another Pain Management facility, and can't afford the Methadone clinics. We would also like to find a doctor who prescribes methadone in a private office. We are in Etowah County

I have found at least 40 different clinics that offer Methadone Maintenance in your area. They were too numerous to list so here is the web site that offers a host of practicing Physicians that deal in methadone maintenance.

I have also found a Methadone Clinic for you in VA. This is the best one I could find.
