I have been taking Neurontin for 6 years and didn't think it was doing much until the last time my doctor didn't response to a refill request. My wife begging the pharmacist got me me through 2 days when I could barely walk and forget doing anything optional like cutting grass. The pain killer reliance because a way of life and it isn't an addiction until you find reasons other the pain relief to see more or stronger medications. I have taken Percocets (5/325, 7.5/325 & 10/325) plus Oxycontin up to 60mg and Oxycodone 40mg with the Oxycontin. That was my GP and not an actual PM. DEA took his license.
I am getting ready to switch to Nuycnta according to my PM
We're all different so it's hard to say. Two weeks isn't a long time so I think when it's time for her to stop them there should be no problems. She may want to taper and not just stop taking them if she's going to be on them any longer than 2 weeks. She should talk to her Dr about this. He/she will be there to help her.
