Hurt feet

Both my feet hurt so bad to walk on them.  Feels like pins and needles, especially my heels. They are a little swollen by the end of the day.   Get a lot of cramps in my calves and toes also.  I definitely cannot run or I cannot walk at all in afterward. I have to walk slow or they hurt.

Hello and Welcome to our Pain Management Community. You've already received some good suggestions. I have just a bit to add.

I'm sorry to hear about the pain you are experiencing in your feet and legs. My first thought would be ill-fitting shoes. Do you have a sturdy pair of shoes that fit your feet well? If not new shoes can be s simple fix. It doesn't even matter if you're wearing new shoes, they may not be a good fit.

I've also found that a good jel-filled cushion insert can be beneficial. Make sure they are a good name and do what they are designed to do - cushion and often cool. Soaking your feet in a warm foot bath of Epson Salts can be comforting and help ease discomfort.

Muscle cramping can also be attributed to dehydration, even slight or border-line dehydration. So make certain you are drinking a lot of fluids.

As suggested above stretching can also help and neuropathy could also be a possibility. Neuropathy is more prevalent in ppl with diabetes and older age but that is not always true. Neuropathy is the result of damage to your peripheral nerves. It can result from traumatic injuries, infections, metabolic problems, inherited causes and exposure to toxins. Pain is usually described as stabbing or burning along with tingling or a "sleeping" sensation.

Also as said above only your PCP can give you the right diagnosis. If the measures you take do not ease your pain or it becomes worse be certain to consult your PCP.

Please let us know how you are doing. We'll look forward to your updates.

Take Care,
~Tuck

Hi there.  Sorry you are having this discomfort!  Definitely see your doctor.  They may tell you that you have planters facetious.  The symptoms of that are similar to what you describe.  Very uncomfortable.  I've experienced that myself.  One thing you can do is stretching.  Stretch the calves really well a couple of times a day.  The take the heel of your foot and press it against something like the bottom edge of a step.  Sounds crazy but this was what I was told to do with my planters facetious.  But do see a doctor to see exactly what they think is causing this and to get a treatment plan.  good luck hon

You should call your doctor and let them know about these symptoms.  They can have several causes related to multiple health issues. It sounds like neuropathy which is a type of nerve pain. It can be treated with medication to relieve the symptoms but it needs to be evaluated to be sure the cause and best course of treatment
Hope you feel better.
