Hydrocodone bitartrate sr compound

My doctor put me on this for my RSD.  I was on loratab 10 mg with tylenol and started having pain in my liver which I am almost sure it was the zanaflex which caused this.  But does it take a while for this medicine to get in your system since it is slow release?  The tylenol is no longer in the medicine.  We are waiting to see my blood test.  My cbc and cmp and tsh all came back normal.  So the doctors think it is medically induced pain ( from med's ) .  Does this medicine work the same way as the loratab 10/500 except without the tylenol?  I am so afraid of new meds.  Thanks Susan..

You would think that would be the easiest option first. They never do what you think there going to!
A friends of mine had jaundice a few months ago. It went away, and he never told me exactly what they found but he went back to his normal routine a few weeks later.
Just try not to get too anxious(easier said than done I know). I'm sure you'll get the approval for the C scan.
Let us know when you do!

Thank you guys so very much.  This week has been awful for me and the whole liver thing hopeful it will be all right.  I have jaundice and that scares me even more I am awaiting my insurance to approve a ct scan.  I don't know why they did not do an ultrasound first and see what that shows, but I am not a doctor... Thanks again Susan..

Hi Susan,
It does take a little while for the medication to build up in your system when its slow release but it should help the first time you take it. When I started a slow release medication my DR told me that it may be a few days until I was able to get as mucg relief as I could from the medication.
I completely understand your fear of new meds. I am always afraid to take something new
I hope your blood test results come back okay and your able to get some relief with this new slow release medication. You may want to ask your DR about taking something like IBprohen if your pain is breaking through since your missing the acetomenephine in your new med. But if your having problems or pain in your liver I'd make sure to ask the DR first.

Let us know how it goes for you and if the medication starts working better!

Yes it is the same medicine minus the tylenol.
I would avoid the tylenol as much as possible and do what your Dr's advise you to do.
