Wearing hand/wrist braces at night might help a bit. I had carpal tunnel when I worked a previous job form repetitive motion and I used those at night, which did help some. Also the Flector patch may help as well. Its an anti-inflammatory patch that you put on where it hurts. I hope that helps a little at least. good luck to you.
I know how bad it can be. I had a joint replacement in my left thumb but the implant failed and wound up having 9 surgeries, countless meds, procedures, etc. I don't know if you've tried glucosamine chondroiton. It can help rebuild cartilage if you haven't gone too far. It was too late for my hands but it may be helping other spots I have. What kind of doctor are you seeing? I get some relief from a prescription gel called Voltaren. Doesn't take away all the pain but can help take the edge of along with other things (heat, ice, ibuprofen, etc.)
