Welcome to the Pain Mangement Forum I am sorry that you are having pain and that the results of your MRI are less than good.
I could say the obvious, you have a bad back. Instead of addressing each one individually let you sum up my opinion of your MRI. You have several "bad" discs which are bulging and causing stenosis, a medical term for narrowing. When the spine narrows it causes pain by compressing or irritating the nerves.
Your spinal issues are primarily located in your lumbar spine. The lumbar spine is the lower portion of your back. It includes 5 vertebrae, known as L1 to L5, which have a great deal of motion and flexibility. This section of the spine bears most of the body’s weight and allows for the most motion which stresses the structures, this is the area associated with most back problems. Problems in this area often cause pain that radiates down the legs to the feet.
Bilateral (means both sides) neural (means nerves) foraminal (is an opening) that the nerves exit and stenosis again means narrowing. This alone can cause pain and your MRI reveals other similar structural issues.
I wish you the very best of luck. Your surgeon may choose to try several non-invasive treatments however in time you may require surgery. Please let us know how you are doing.
