I need to know what this pain is

I have extrem pain from the back of my neck down to my shoulder, into my arm pit ,to my elbow my wrist and palm of my hand, also very high on my leg where my leg meets my tourso above my knee to my ankel and bottom of my foot,it comes and goes and is any where from a 7 to 10 as far as the pain scale goes,it is usually in my right side of the body, and can last any where from 3 days to 3 weeks,it is sometimes in my left but is one side or the other more often on the right and more intense in the right than when it is in the left,I have been to two doctors and one said it was body miagrains and one said it was on injury that i may have gotten at work But I have never heard of a miagraine last ing for 15 days, and the injury just doesn`t seem to fit ,It can come at any time of the month but is almost always agrrevated by my menstual cycle I have been taking tramadol and indomethacine for it but it is not arthritise and the tramadol helps a lot but they give me 30 pills for a month 1 pill every 4 to six hours for up to 15 sometimes 20 days that does not add up and then they act like i take it for fun like its candy or something the indomethacine gives me such bad headaches and only helps the pain a little for about an hour and a half, not to speak of the upset stomach it gives me! any ideals? Please help I am so tired of missing out on life becouse I am always in pain,There is also some swelling in the neck elbow arm pit above the knee ankle and wrist, not much just a little almost like swollen tissue or some thing i wonder could the lumpy puffyness be lymphnodes? sry for the spelling

I know what you mean. I have severe back problems and I thought that they were the cause of a lot of my problems ant that they were getting worse. Finally I went to the dr and it was time for my routine blood testing. Had that done only to find out I have Hashimoto's disease. There are a lot of diseases that cause the pain/inflammation you are having such as Fibromyalgia, Lupus, RA,  Lyme disease. Your dr needs to do a more in depth blood test to check these. I would ask them to test you for these and diseases that can cause your type of pain and if they wont go to a dr that will. I was lucky because I happened to have my blood test done while my Hashi's was flared up and that is how it was caught. Now I am trying to get them to fine tune all of my issues with it lol fun fun. You shouldn't have to go to a dr and specify what test you need done. You need one that cares enough to test until they get to the bottom of it. If you have any other questions ect that I may be able to help with feel free to message me. I have read a lot about autoimmune disease since I found out about mine plus as I said I have back/spine/nerve problems lol. I am all messed up. I hope you get the help you deserve soon living with pain is no life at all. Best wishes, Sissie

I think it may be time for you to find a new dr. There are several things that can cause you symptoms and you need to have them all checked. Everything from spinal problems to something like Fibromyalgia. What types of testing has your dr done? I know a lot about back issues but not the rest but I am sure there is someone on here that can point you in that direction. The reason I said spinal problems is where your pain is it is possible to have several disc problems. There is a chart on my profile that may be helpful to you it is the first pic. look it up and it will give you an idea as to where you pain is compared to what your symptoms are. I would also ask for blood test that check for autoimmune disease. Here is a link for a checklist that will give you an idea of what to have checked. http://www.thyroid-info.com/articles/autoimmune-checklist.htm
I hope this is helpful to you and that you get to the bottom of your problems soon. Constant pain is a horrid way to live and being accused of wanting pain meds just because is not a way to be treated by anyone much less your dr.  Best wishes, Sissie
