I was Strangled and I am in a whole lot of pain

I was involved in an altercation with someone. I was trying to leave the situation because thi person has a bad temper. Once i tried to leave this person wrapped my hair around the palm of thier hand and and held it tightly so I wouldn't leave while the vechile was in motion. Once the vechile stopped I was in the passanger side, this person pulled me from the passanger side all the way out the car from the drivers side. Then this person while having a tight grip on my hair pulls my up by my hair an bangs my head on the door and pressed his forearm on my neck. I could not breathe an was able to make this person more his arm. then this person throws me back in the car still holding my hair and bangs my had on the dashborad. then this person threw me upside down in the passenger side and he released my hair to put both hands around my neck. i would say this went on for a maybe 10 seconds and then the person released the grip they had around my neck. I started to hyperventalate.  i got away and ran. I had to pick up my children so i put on make up and went on my day like nothing happened an i did not feel anything but tenderness. ( Happened Yesterday) Today I woke up and I can barely breathe, Iam so dizzy and by whole body is sore. I do not have insurance but want to see if it is neccessary to go seek medical attention. I have red deots under my eyes and I do not remember if I was hit in the face or if they came from me being strangled. I have the full hand print of both hands around my neck in bruise form. I sing and always would like to know if my voice will come back.

Hi - so sorry to hear about this. My husband abused me and when I finally said to stop, or I'd leave - he dragged me down stairs, shoved me, pushed me and finally pinned me backwards against a pool table and strangled me. I only got away by pulling on his shirt so hard, he noticed it was stretched out!

He was so enraged that his shirt was stretched! (While strangling the life out of me) that he reached out and in one swipe, ripped my clothes off, including bra, in shreds! He was so startled he suddenly went upstairs. I was a mess - couldn't make a sound, yet was crying and gasping - snuck up and got the phone and called 911. Police arrested him and put him in jail.

Take pictures of yourself and report this immediately. Get a restraining order. I had one for a year - extremely important! I wish you the best! Get support and have yourself checked out. God bless!

It sounds like bad abuse. You must avoid this person. Your life is in jeopardy. If I where you I would press charges. Go to the ER and get x-rays. You need to heal. Your voice will come back in time. It's going to take awhile to heal from the injuries you sustained. This person sounds like a monster.

OMG, yes go to the ER right away. They can't refuse you treatment just because you can't pay.

I don't want to seem too pushy but I would also make sure the police get involved. NO ONE has a right to put their hands on you. NO ONE!!!!!!!!!! I don't care if its your husband, father, or whomever, you do NOT DESERVE TO BE TREATED THIS WAY no matter what.

Please seek treatment. If you need to talk, feel free to contact me privately if you don't want to talk openly on this forum, OK. Let us know how your doing.

Please go to an Emergency Department. There's a small bone in the neck that can be broken easily, and if you have bruising of the trachea, you need medical attention.

Note that seeking medical help for this injury will cause a police event. I suggest that you follow through with pressing charges.

Women should not tolerate physical abuse.
