Yes the bleeding and pus are normal. The cyst itself is going to have nothing but pus in it. Have you been back in for a follow up or had it looked at since this weekend? I know exactly what type of pain you are experiencing with this type of cyst and its location. Have you tried the Epson salt HOT baths?
Sounds like you need to go to the ER or an urgent care clinic. I had a very large, painful one under my breast. My primary sent me to a breast surgeon because of the size. The breast surgeon said give it two rounds of antibiotics. It took a good two weeks for it to mostly go away but mine wasn't getting bigger and there was no pus or blood (after being on the antibiotics for a couple of days and doing lots of hot compresses.)
It could be you need a different antibiotic. They are so painful ... don't be sca red. Lancing only takes a minute and the relief is immediate. My sister gets them all the time. She did need painkillers with the last one but shelet it go for a long time because she was on vacation in Japan and didn't want to go to a doctor there.
it's pussing and bleeding is this normal
L a n c e d not launched my Kindle keeps doing auto spell check
Well I'm not going to say it I'd a pleasant experience but once the initial pain of numbing the area is over and it is launched the throbbing pain is gone! I did it and would do it again.
i've been told to ask to have it lanced but i'm scared
Perhaps you could go to a medical center or ER if it continues to get worse and see if they could LANCE it!
no they didn't just prescribed anti biotics and sent me home it feels like it's getting worse.
they are very painful and it keeps getting bigger
I agree Madman! They are so painful and they almost double in size daily!
Look it up on the web. Give the antibiotics time to work. I know this is painful but the antibiotics should help after a period of time, Find out why the doctor did not lance the cyst. Have him/her explain this to you. Call his/her office and tell them the type of pain you are experiencing. That could be important.
Years ago I had one and the only time I had any type of relief is when I soaked in a very hot Epsom salt bath. The hotter the water the better, better it helped with the throbbing pressure.
I really do sympathize with you because I know how painful they are. Didn't they lance it for you? The minute mine was launched the pain was gone.
