Left Arm weakness and pain please help!
Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help me. I'm 19 years old (female) and I admit to being somewhat of a hypochondriac. However, I have been getting this aching sensation in my entire left arm for months now. Sometimes it can go away for a week or two and then come back. It's especially sore in the crook of my arm where I bend it and I can't stop picturing my arteries closing in or something horrendous going on inside my body.
Can someone please please help me, I have exams this week and my mind is a million miles away :(

I am far from a medical expert so given that your pain can be caused by a number of issues. Are you left handed? Is your arm swollen or discolored?
It may be a strain. You may have strained it by some movement that you are totally unaware of, like carrying something or turning it unusually. A strain would normally not last for months unless you continued to strain it.
Do you sleep on your arm? Are you doing new activities?
It could be a little tendonitis.Does it hurt to touch? Is it warm in any location on the arm?
Simply it could be several things. My best suggestion is to see your PCP. He or she will have the correct answer for you.

I would try ibuprofen and resting the arm when possible. If it's nog better in a week or so, see a do tot if it's really bothering you. Good luck on your finals!
