Leg injury for 4 months. Dr's won't help. I'm losing my will to live.

I have had leg pain for about 5 months now. I have called my dr about a dozen times, saw an ortho twice. Got bone scan, pt, xray, ultrasounds, emgs and found nothing.

Now ortho refused to give me an MRI because it's a 'minor issue'.

My quality of life is so poor now, I cant exercise, am in pain all day. Doctors won't help. PT didn't help.

My life is hell 24/7. What am I supposed to do? I have no options. I can't keep waiting and waiting. I have been counting the days to my appointments and all they do is rush me out the door as fast as they can. Now I have no appointments, no tests and no solutions. I'm losing my will to live.

hi jtje88-------man! sounds like you have been trying everything you can to get help---to get some ---- any---relief!
Can you find someone to talk to in your family or at school---or a friend----about how you are feeling. It might be good to find a person to help you with appts. etc. Do you have more appts.----you were counting down to the next one----or Duh!-did i misunderstand again?......if not get one with new doc....
Now. It can not hurt anything to call someone---a clinic---a hotline---someone---anyone to help you with your new (i am guessing it is new?) suicidal thinking.  Please Do.  Like i said----can't hurt---might help--and might help you feel a little better. And what you are feeling is not that uncommon. It is treatable---sometimes fairly quick.
Ok?  Call?  And "note" me.   about anything anytime

Hello jtje88,

I just read your comments. I agree with the other two Medhelp members
who have replied to you. It is time to find another doctor. There is a doctor
out there who can help you and who will give you proper referrals.
The best of luck to you. I have some knee pain periodically, but not constant leg pain. I hope you find a doctor who will listen and who will
help you. Take care. Don't give up. Eve :)

I agree with Randaroo, its time to find another doctor. Don't stop, eventually you will find someone who can help you, it just can be a long and frustrating process. Keep your chin up and good luck to you.

if you want another MRI unforchentlly you'll have to go to the hospital. And my suggestion is find another dr. If one drs not willing to help you and the pains that severe you need to get as many opinions as possible, im in the process of doing the same, Its not an easy process but there is a Dr out there who can and will help you. Best of luck
