Magnesium

Hello, has anyone ever tried magnesium for muscle cramps/spasms/pain?  I am trying Magnesium Malate as I had heard it wouldn't cause diarrhea.  I am also trying Magnesium Oil; I am curious to know if anyone has tried it and if it helps.  Which magnesium would be the best one to take?
I appreciate any responses,
Thank you
Dee

Hi, I can say magnesium is the one supplement that has helped me as much as any I've taken.  I have tried so many, you wouldn't believe.  They all made my stomach hurt, cause diarrhea and overall, make me sick.   There is one called Jigsaw magnesium, that was recommended by a integrative medicine doctor I know.  This stuff is great!!  I also found that to take the amount of the regular ones, you probably need just to have the correct amount absorbed by your body, you would have to take a whole lot!  This one is absorbed extremely well and is a great combination.  I have been taking it for about a year now and I order it on ebay.  It's the cheapest I've found.  It's funny I saw your post today because I got too low before I ordered it this time and haven't had it for 2 days and man, I woke up this morning with my legs killing me and my lower back hurting.  I also got cramps in my feel last night.  I have no idea what causes me to have such low levels to need it this much but I do.  Most people have low magnesium levels but maybe ours are more!  This really is great stuff!  Hope you try it!  It will work!!

You can also try tonic water with quinine for muscle cramps.  My dad used to get them ALL the time in the groin, calves and feet.  They were really bad.  Tried giving him extra bananas and potatoes but he kept getting them.  We did the tonic water with quinine and it was miraculous.  They stopped nearly immediately.  You don't need a lot (because personally I don't like the taste.). Two to four ounces a day will likely help.

Hey there!  Thank you so very much, I really appreciate your response as well as the recommendation.  I am so tired or waking up in pain.  I had read that we are all deficient in magnesium and that calcium contracts the muscle while magnesium relaxes.
While the recommendation is a 2 to 1 between calcium and magnesium, that is for healthy people who are not deficient.
I am praying that this will help me.
I am going to buy it now, thanks again, Dee
