Mistake in Pain Contracts

If you read all Pain Contracts it's missing one very important thing. EXAGERBATIONS. What happens when your pain is do far out of control that the meds your on now doesn't help. As the law stands.THEY CAN DO NOTHING FOR YOU. No other Dr even ER doctors can't give you a thing because it violates your pain contract. It's needs changed. Todau

Hi a pain contract is an agreement with your pain management doctor that you will not get pain meds from anyone else or you will be kicked out of the doctors office.  There are normally urine tests done and on pharmacy to be picked as well as some people must bring in their bottles for counting purposes any time you are asked.
It is very different than having a general practitioner prescribe medications for a short period of time.
I hope this helps.

Ptawillis61 I hear you, it is very bad, especially right now with the new CDC guidelines.  Doctors are running scared and are hesitating to write prescriptions at all.  If anyone is getting their pain meds from a GP they need to try to find a specialist before the rules hit their town/city

Hi~  I have never heard of a 'Pain Contract'. Is that something from your insurance company. Thank you.
