After being on it a week with percocet for bt pain, I became zombie
I slept a day away. I am a smoker and to try to wake up I would light a cigarette which would end up on the floor burning a hole or my blanket or even my couch. I called my pm doc and was told to stop immediately. Even rho I stopped it took another 5 days to be normal and get out of bed. I went yesterday for my second LESI and she gave me Oxycontin 20 1 every 12 hrs and roxicodone 15 once a day.  I WILL NEVER TAKE nyucinta again.  It may help for some but also made my legs, feet and hands swell to the point of extreme pain. Good luck to you.

If you click on my name it will bring you to my home page.  Then you can click on posts or journals.  It may take some looking because it was a few years ago.  Or, if you have any questions' just ask away.  Are you feeling okay?

You can read my old posts on Nucynta.  I experienced some of what you're experiencing and with each day I felt worse.  It was horrific.  Don't be a martyr.  If you're not feeling okay, have them switch you to something different.  It's not worth the torture.  I hope you're feeling better and keep us posted on how it's going.  I was on it for rsd/nerve pain after 9 surgeries after I had a joint replacement in my thumb that failed.  I'm left with terrible nerve pain as well as a loss o a lot o function in my hand.

Thank you for your information, as this has been frightening! My problems are sweating, yet shivering with cold, stomach hurts, dizzy, and weak.
My one doctor thinks it could be a reaction from Cymbalta and Nucynta together? So reducing my Cymbalta, but who knows if I can continue on this pain medicine, even though it works on my pain great! I have had numerous spine surgeries with severe nerve pain. Just getting off Lyrica, which; is and has been a struggle.  Ugh!
