I live in Wetumpka with no car or transportation.  The only transportation I have is with my ride service that will take me to my doctor and bring me home.  I have been abusing lortab for about 13 years; however, I have been abusing painkillers since 1985.  I really want help - but I need a doctor in Wetumpka, Montgomery, or Prattville, Alabama, that will prescribe me methadone.  The clinic is out of the question.  I don't have the money; nor a ride.  I will do anything the doctor asks me to do; i.e. drug test; check to see if I am doctor shopping; look up my prescriptions, etc. ANYTHING.  I just need to find a doctor that will help me before it's too late.  I've been buying off the streets and it keeps me completely broke.  I bought a methadone (one) and it really worked and lasted for approximately two days.

If I may ask, are you abusing it to get high, or do you have genuine pain? I agree that a regular doctor isn't going to just prescribe methadone, even if its to get you off of the lortab. Have you talked with the doctor who has been giving you the Lortab? Another thing you may have to do is check into a rehab clinic to detox. Most hospitals have units for this. I wish you good luck in your journey to get clean.

I just looked up what lortab was (I like in UK so medication have different names over here) and noticed it has paracetamol in it too? If it does be very careful because it may damage your liver, worse than what the hydrocodone would...
I can't help you as I live here but I know you don't want a clinic but you may have to temporarily first to show you've started to get off those drugs. I can't see how a doctor would randomly prescribe methadone to someone unless they are supervised first in a clinic.
Let me know what happens. Also, be careful with methadone...I think it's even harder to get off than normal pain killers etc
