Pain All Over - Please Help

Hello, I may be in the wrong spot but i'm fishing for anything...has anyone here experienced anything like this or have any suggestions on what I should do...

Hi,

About two months ago, I was infected HSV2  For two months straight, I've experienced the following symptoms/pain.

1. Burning Skin on arms, legs, neck, face, sometimes lips and eyes. Scrotum feels a little irritated to sometimes but nothing looks wrong. No visual symptoms of problems anywhere.
2. Electric shock like sharp pain in arms, legs, tongue, butt and penis.
3. Itching on chest, arms, hands, neck and legs (Derm said looks like light folliculitus) but I itch on places with no bumps.
4. Muscle twitching all over, arms, legs, back, chest.
5. Sometimes my mouth (tongue, jaw, teeth) hurts, and my lymph nodes felt tight one day but no swelling.

Sorry for being so graphic but I really need help. I have had these sensations constantly for two months straight..... up until april, I have never had any problems whatsoever. I have never felt pain like this.

I have MRI and EMG coming soon. Vitamin levels are good.

Any help is greatley appreciated.

I do hope ur symptoms clear up with time..perhaps these tests will give u an idea and then u can make a plan with ur dr...the symptoms remind me of nothing in particular that comes to mind/altho when i saw hsv it made me think of possible shingles but u would have clusters of blisters and it is usually. on one side of the body not all over....but everyone has different symptoms with every different problem cos we r all different

Hi Verysaddude,

According too what I have read when you are initially infected with HSV2 you will experience flu-like symptoms, including fever and swollen glands. Unless you are having a very unusual response ti the virus none of the symptoms you describe are part of it.

Folliculitis, an infection of the hair follicles. Severe cases may cause permanent hair loss and scarring, and even mild folliculitis can be uncomfortable and embarrassing. There are many different types of this infection. It can make you miserable.

I am glad that you are having additional testing to rule out additional medical issues. You may be responding to both conditions but the EMG and MRI should help confirm or deny a differential diagnoses.

Good luck to you. Please let us know how you are doing. I will look forward to your updates. Peace, Tuck
