Pain Doctor

I called the pain drs office and thank goodness T the girl I have talked to in the past (the one that has lied to me a few times) answered the phone. I told her what was going on and said she wishs they could do something but since they haven't started treatment there is nothing she can do I asked her since he comes back on the 22nd if I can get into sooner then the 26th. She said his first day back to work is the 20th but it is at the other office and she can get me in at 9am that morning so I took it. I am going to call in the other location in a few days and make sure he will be there that day in that office, just to cover my ground and make sure Im not being lied to again. It does help getting me in faster but it don't help me right now and I still don't know what to do about right now, I will just have to keep suffering.

I told my husband that I had a appointment and he got upset with me, I asked him why he said "because every time we go there they don't help you, it is a waste of time" I was shocked. I am hoping he isn't right about that. Plus this office I am going to will take longer to get there then the other office plus it is at 9am so we will hit alot of traffic. But like I told T I really don't care I need treatment asap.
This weekend is my daughters 12th birthday on Saturday. I am not feeling good at all right now. I have a feeling instead of being with my daughter on her bday I will be in the hosptial with IVs all over me. I really don't want for that to happen. I am getting weak and light headed, I am so hungry. the pain I normally feel is so much worse and I am also having new pain around my right eye right on the side of my head when I try to chew I get a sharp pain, everytime I go to get something it really hurts so I just give up. It has NEVER hurt on this area, I think with me being off the meds I am going to feel so much more pain then I am use too. I can't keep doing this. I really do hope time goes by fast cause at this rate I don't know if I will even make it to the pain dr appt.

I really hope the time flies til your appt comes . He surely will help you .Just try to think positive .You certainly have a legitimate condition that is very painful . I can't see any reason why he wouldn't do what he can to help you manage your pain .I will keep you in my prayers that this will help you manage your pain . I want so much for it to work out for you .Take care Melissa

Thanks everyone. It seens so far away but I know it isn't but now I am back to worrying what if he don't even treat me when I see him, I am telling you if that happens I will fall on the floor and have a heart attack.
He is on vacation, I am the 1st appt he has the 1st day he comes back to work. I will be there at 9am.

I have a wonderful idea, move to Kansas and I'll take you to my pain guy that does not contracts, we'll get you right in, you can stay at my place and get this worked out until you can get a decent doctor!!!

Good news, Jamie.  It's almost a week less!  You probably already did this, but did you ask to be put on a cancellation list at both offices?  Or if they don't have one, if it would be okay to call every morning when they open to see if anyone has cancelled for the day?  I've been seen sooner by doing that at times.

OH I was so hoping that you could get in to someone this week.  Oh well. At least you are seeing this a few days earlier.  And calling the office is a really good idea!  It seems there is a lot of "confusion" in the office.

Hang in there kiddo!!  You'll get through it.

I'm glad that you were able to reschedule your appointment to the 20th.  I know it's a long time wait, but it's at least 6 days sooner.  Your smart to cover your ground.  It amazes me that their office staff lied to you a couple times.  Unbelieveable.  I never in my life come across where the office staff have lied.  Maybe she was having off days.  I'm so sorry your suffering. :(

I'm so glad you were able to get a quicker appointment.  I think it's a good idea to call the 2nd office to not only make sure the doc is going to be there the day of your appt, but also to make sure that any and all paperwork that is needed has been transferred.  You sure don't want a delay in treatment to happen simply because of a paperwork snafoo!
