Pain Mgmt

I had C3, C4, C6 & C7 fused.  The headaches have not gone away and they are intense 24/7.  I had the pain pump put in several years ago and it to does not help.  Instead the meds in the pain pump have deteroriated my teeth and nerves in my bones.  I am now looking at a full right hip replacement because of this.  I need to know what type of meds can be put in the pain pump and is this new serum from a sea shell fish is effective with these types of headaches.  I have four doctors who all disagree, yet three think I should take out the pain pump.  Without the pain pump my headaches were 10 plus, with the pain pump my headaches are 9.  I have tried nerve block injections and spinal micro chip several times and nothing seems to work.  I am looking for any medical suggestions.  I have had several MRI's and Cat Skans of my head and neck and everything looks normal.  Any suggestions on meds for pain pump verus taking pain pump out and taking oral meds.

Hi Joe, I am sorry you are hurting, but I found your post interesting as I was advised to have a similar neck fusion for spinal stenosis, kyphosis and disc degeneration, etc.  I have pain in my neck, jaw, upper back and shoulders.  I went to PT, which helped some, but lately the pain is a bit worse.  However, I have been told my so many people (my brother-in-law included) to NEVER had this spine surgery.  Everyone I spoke to said it does not help, and sometimes makes things worse.
