Pain on the right side of my back along the shoulder blade.

by Tonika23, Jul 05, 2007 08:40AM
Hi,
For about a week now i have been experiencing extreme back pain on the right side..It is along the right shoulder blade. It eases a bit but as soon as, for example, Im turning the wheel of my jeep with my right arm, it flairs up.. I also feel a bit of pain when i sneeze. Any odd movements that i make which requires shoulder and back strength, it hurts. It isnt just a twinge, at times it is extreme pain where i cannot make any sudden movements or reach for anything.
What is goin on in the back there?

Could be just a pulled / sprained muscle.  Are anti-inflammatories helping - advil, aleve?  If it gets worse with rest and heat over time, you'll need to see the doc.  Could have something else going on in your shoulder or neck that's lighting up that C7 nerve.
