SI joint pain who can help?

I have had pain on the right side of my body from my right si joint down to my two small toes.I have had numerous epidural injections, bone biopsy, mri, cat scan ,bone scan, and meds. The pain has been going on for a year and half now is their a doctor who specializes in si joint pain? I live in n.j. and i am feeling desperate. My biopsy was negative as well as my bone scans but my mri and cat scan show a defect. The pain I am feeling is a deep ache with sudden sharp stabbing pains in the si joint. The pain is better when staying still and increases with movement.HELP

I just read your SI Joint Syndrome questions. I too have had the problem for years but not DX till 5 years ago. I know the pain, horrid and life altering. I stumbled across a DO (Doctor of Osteopathy) that finally DX and understood the Syndrome. Frequently my SI "goes out" and she is able to put it back in place that brings some relief. I have had mutliple tests to confirm the DX and most recently steriod injections. I did get some relief for about 3 weeks with the injections but mine in so long standing that nothing helps it. I encourage you to find a DO that will treat and refer you to have the injections. If DX early and treated correctly this syndrome does not have to be life long.
Best of Luck, I feel your pain.

Have you ever tested for lymes.  Lymes can reack havoc on your whole nerve system and pain can also feel like its in the bone, the muscle and the joints.
If they tested and it turned out negative, you may still want to condsider a visit to a rhumatologist as they can run an in-depth pannel for a variety of lymes.

Hope you get answeres soon.
