Savella

I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with Savella for treating their pain?  A nurse friend of mine mentioned it to me and said it works well for fibromyalgia-type pain (which I have, though it's not flaring up at the moment.)  I haven't seen much about it and I plan on researching it but was wondering if anyone had any personal experience with it.

I don't know anything at all about Savella but I "googled" it and found the Savella web site.
Please read this carefully along with several others before making up your mind. I know that you are "one smart cookie" and will make the correct decision for yourself.  Between you and your Doctor you should come up with what's best for you!!  :)

I had the option of trying it, but I read about it extensively and it scared me. In Europe, it's used for depression...so it is an SSRI. That said, it works well for some people. Everyone is so different, so maybe it will work well for you.

I've tried it but had to discontinue it due to a very bad reaction... I tried out for 2 weeks though and it did nothing but give me a horrible reaction.... I have a friend though who it wormed wonders for her pain but the emotional roller coaster it put her on was so bad and not worth even the pain relief that she dis continued it.

It's just up to you.meds are diff.for everyone, you have to see what works well for you, it might, you never know unless you try.
