Sharp, shooting pain in my belly button!

For months maybe years now I've been getting really strong/sharp shooting pains from my belly button. Its very painful, it even takes my breath away. It lasts for about a minute. I dont know what causes this to happen. It dosent happen often, It comes and goes, weeks will go bye. I feel like i should have this checked out, can anyone help me or give me advice?

no i never had a c-section or abdominal surgery. Its very weird, i know. This pain just comes out of no where. Sorry for writing back soo late, but i'm going to get this checked out in a few weeks. :) thanks for your concern.

I happened to see your post .. have you ever had abdominal surgery or a C-Section before? Just was wondering if it could be scar tissue? But I'm not a doctor; I'd certainly ask your doc about this.
