Tapering from oxycontin

I have been taking 20 mg of oxycontin 1 tablet every 12 hours and 1-2 tablets of percocet 5/325 every 4-6 hours as needed for shoulder joint replacement on 10/10/07. l tapered to 1 percocet every 4-6 hours 2 days ago and have no pain but am wondering if I should be eliminating one of the two oxycontin  instead of or in addition to the method I have been using.  Any advise??

My advice will be simple:  if you can do without the oxycontin, don't take it.  You're playing with fire.  I know that initially most people take it for pain, but unfortunately by the end, most people take it because they're addicted.  I was one of the 'most people'.
