A recently released study finds TENS units ineffective in treating low back pain, which should also mean they aren't effective for other spinal pain, regardless of location, IMHO.

Hello Gingertors,
Welcome to the Pain Mangement Forum. I am glad that you found us and took the time to post.
I have tried a TENS Unit in the past and it had the same effect. It made my pain worse. I could not tolerate the impulses at any level.
I encourage you to request a referral for PT. They will be better equipped to determine it's placement and the level it should be set at. They are the experts.
I wish you the best and hope you will keep in touch with us. I'll be interested to learn of the results of the TENS Unit you experience when properly placed and set at the correct frequency.
Take Care,
Tuck
