Wishing you good luck!. I am 97% better. I feel pain sometimes now only when I am tired and active.
it sounds like your rotater cluff in your shoulder blade ,Since your family doctor is not being helpful , ask around and search internet for good orthopedic ,Make a appoinment,,The only way you can dx this,Is by having a MRI, if this has lasted more than 3 to 6 months, good chance it could be your rotator cluff, this is very painful, and it could progressivly get to the point you will have more pain,The only way to heal this is by simple surgery,,
Hi really glad you found something to help

PCP told me to take 2 Tylenol 3x in 24 hrs. I also did some stretch and tone exercises I found on web for Rhomboid muscles.
All better now....still a binge of discomfort every so often. The intense burning is gone....hallelujah!
Oh, you are right, burning is nerve related. No injury, I do sit at the computer longer than I need to. I do sr. aerobics. I am realizing the instructors are not knowledgeable of contraindications of many of the exercises they do.
However, one of the told me to put an 8" rubber ball behind my back whenever I sit. This helped a Lot yesterday!. So I am thinking it is posture related. I have been laying on the floor with rolled towel under my neck, that has helped also.
I appreciate you help!
I think pain that fels like your "burning" signals some sort of nerve pain. Did you over stretch something , or somehow injure yourself? If this pain persists then see your PCP right away. Maybe the sooner it's diagnosed and treated, the better the prognosis. Good luck, and take care

Hi and welcome. If your sitting for long periods of time reading books, you might want to change your positioning. Sounds like your having some cramping.
