Thank you for responding to my post. I have been dealing with nerve pain after facet joint injections in 2006. my doctor hit a nerve. I also had back surgery disc replacement fusion in 2009. I have been dealing with chronic back pain for to long, so when I woke up with this new pain it really scared me. I told my pain mgt. about it she really didn't say much about it. This only happened to me the one night, Thank you for the information I really appreciate it.
Hi!
I am sorry to hear about your medical problems. Sharp pain or tingling in the side of face could be due to injury to a nerve or pinched nerve, an infection or a trauma. Hence it could be Trigeminal neuralgia, abscess in tooth, exposed root canal, internal ear infection, maxillary sinusitis, TMJ, migraine, herpes (recurrent) without rash or fibromyalgia localized to face.
Since a confirmed diagnosis cannot be given on net please consult your doctor regarding this. Hope this helps. Take care!
