abdomin pain

My 13 year old son suffers from abdomin pain after her wakes up in the morning and has a glass of water. The pain continues on and off and after breakfast at times he catches his tummy in pain. As the day wears on he keeps getting pain seldom. We had got him examined by a child specilist (PED.Doctor) and he had diagonised as gastro problem for which PAN 20mg was given. Although it has subsided he keeps getting it on and off.
A scan was also taken and his liver, Kidneys, Pancreas, spleen, gall blader etc were all normal. We got his urine also examined.
He eats vegetables, green leafy vegetables, chicken some times, fish, rice, wheat and loves chocolates and juices.
I am really worried since children at this age are usually healthy, they need lots of energy for sport and for that they have to eat, which unfortunately my son is finding it difficult to do so. Out of fear he avoids potatoes, chips even chocolates.
Please help.

Has the Dr. checked him for I.B.S.?  While this is more common in females, it can be in males. I would take him to a Gastrologist.  Good luck

The stomach is often called the "second brain".  If all his systems check out as normal, could his pain be due to fear or anxiety over school, if he has the pain on a daily basis?  Or if not school, could he be concerned or worried over some other factor in his life that is causing pain to the abdomen?  Also, food sensitivities can cause gas pain and other problems, if the pain is better or worse depending upon his diet for a particular day.  These are just some ideas.  I would work closely with his pediatrician to get at the cause.
