chest pain help plz

My chest has been hurting from the middle part up to my collar bone on the right side of my chest. I breath in normally and it sends sharp pain. I havnt done any extreme workouts in the past week. I think it could he from my job
Since we don't have any real ventilation in the kitchen. I think that the grease and heat is getting to my lungs or something in me. I don't have any health insurance yet. Waiting to hear from work about the insurance but Its getting hard to wait. Its getting to the point that when I go long boarding for 10 mins, it hurts way more to breath. If anyone who knows anything or knows how to temporarily fix it till I get my insurance. I would greatly appreciate it.

Hmmm... 'temporary fix' until you get your insurance. Are we talking waiting for the obamacare thingy in January, 4 months from now? I'd get seen sooner! Isn't there a cheap urgent care place you can drop in at sometime this week?

Like Barbinpain said, all you might need is 'exercises.' However, you gotta make sure what it is, first -- otherwise, excercises could make it worse! You know how like when someone falls, they say "DON'T MOVE THEM" because it can cause more damage, until they find out what is really wrong?

For you, it could be nothing, but please find out sooner than later! $100 or so for an urgent care will only set you back a few lattes or beers, if what you have is important enough to take the time to find this forum, register, and make a post, I think it's important enough to go check it out.

Try looking on the internet for exercises. I had the same thing when I was 22 and I thought I was having a heart attack. Every time I breathed the pain was excruciating.  Went to doc and it was just a nerve had worked it's way under my collarbone. He gave me a few exercises to do and it completely went away. Good luck!!!

Hello thayguypaul,

You have many, many muscles in the chest/collar bone area. It's a good chance that you've pulled one of them. Sometimes it doesn't take much to injure a muscle in that area. I did it to myself on a trip of ours. I couldn't remember doing anything that might have caused this type of pain that went from my chest area right up through my shoulder.

I sought medical attention upon returning home and sure enough, I had pulled a muscle.

If this continues, please have it checked out. There are many possibilities for your particular pain, this is just one of the more common ones.

My best,
Mollyrae
