Hi well I had terrible cramps or abdominal pain after but only for that day. After that you souldn't have any. If so I would call the doctor that performed the colonoscopy and tell him or his nurse your symptoms. Hope it turns out great.

Give it 24 hours to resolve, unless it is really severe, or there is rigidity in the belly, in which case you should go to the ER. Very rarely the bowel becomes perforated during this procedure. That complication is unlikely, however. In any case, if the pain becomes really bad do not hesitate to head for an ER. Do not take anything to mask symptoms or to treat the pain.
