today i saw a pain mngmt dr, he took me off hydrocodone 7.7/500mg, and tramadol 50mg, i was allowed 4 vicodins a day and up to 8 tramadol.

i have an appt to see him next thursday to, He put me on  morphine sulfate IR 1m mg, 1 tab 2x's a day and morphine sulfate 30 mg CR 1 tab 2x's a day, I hope i get better and longer relief.

My question will these  new meds help any thoughts?

thank-you sincerely

These should do the trick, the 30 mg cr will controll most pain and the breakthru 1mg is great to, you have a good concerned Dr,

Thanks, i just met this doctor today and already feel better w/ my level of care, I always sensed my primary care doctors and other specialists thought i was nuts. in the 2 hrs i was there he and his nurse made me feel better, I go back in 1 week for an injection and to recieve more meds, i was given a week supply of each, hopefully as time goes on i will get more meds at a time due to my financial restraints. thanks again for your response

morphine sulfate IR 10 mg, and morphine sulfate30mg CR, are the correct doses, not 1mg. :)

My dr put me on 15mg of time-release morpine on Fri. It does work and I'm thankful for the change. You have a very caring dr, and thank god so do I.

Good Luck and God Bless

If that combo does not do the trick, ask your doc to move you onto Kadian...it is a time-release morphine. You only need one pill a day...it is easy and effective...
