Sorry forgot to mention both the doctor and when I said something to the pharmacist she said it was ok.  I just went up to the booth when I was picking up the amtriptyline and said I have an old rx for ultram and the doctor said It was ok to take with the amtriptyline and she said yes.  Then of course I come home and put it in the computer where I keep all my prescribtions for any recalls and it comes up it may cause seizures.  I am guessing if you are on a very high does of amtriptyline but I only take .10-.20 so that is very low.  It is used for pain managment and not for depression.  I think if you use it for depression you get it in a lot higher of a does.  I guess I just want to be sure nothing will happen.

Please call your pharmacist and ask them.  They are the best at telling you if something will not go well together. I have in the past taken amitriptolene, ultram and synthroid together but never the toprol.  The parmacist normally will look at reactions while filling your prescriptions, that is why it is always a great idea to go to the same pharmacy every time, so they know exactly what you are taking.  Good luck, hope you feel better soon.
