Why did I get sick from taking tylenol and tramadol together?

Also, the tramadol alone can cause nausea, so even if yours didn't contain the acetaminophen, it may have just been the tramadol tha tmade you sick, not necessarily the combination of that and the tylenol.

Try taking with a little bit of food - even a couple of crackers - and see if it helps.

was your tramadol presription for ULTRAM or ULTRACET?  If it is/was UltraCET, that contains acetaminophen (tylenol) as well as the tramadol, so therefore, if you took additional tylenol with it, you could have gotten too much of the tylenol ingredient, which could make you sick (and cause liver damage if continued).
