effects of cortisone injections

I had 2 cortisone injections today and my blood pressure and pulse seem to be elevated.  How long will my BP and pulse stay elevated?

was the cortisone to the hips or spine?
ESI's and nerve blocks or cortisone does anything help?
were you satisfied with any of these proceedures?

I've had elevated BP for up to 3 weeks due to the cortosine.  I've had several ESI's and nerve blocks this past year.  The doctors didn't seem to be concerned about the blood pressure.

Hi Jen,

Welcome to the Pain Management Forum.

It is normal for some elevation of your B/P and Pulse. It may linger for a day or two. As Opus said if it is extremely high than you should contact your physician.

Hope the cortisone injections help ease your pain.

Peace,
Tuck

hi, I am not sure abt you're BP but is there any redness or swelling at the injection site?
are you running a fever?
Did they not explain to you to watch for a reaction to the cortisone?
How high is you're BP and pulse?
If very high and showing some/all of these other symptoms I was told to go to the ER
hope ur better soon
