fentanyl during pregnancy

I am currently pregnant and have been on fentanly 125mcg every other day for more than 8 years, but was able to get down to 50mcg for my the duration of the pregnancy so far.  Nothing else touches my pain and when I try to come off my quality of life is nill.  I am bed ridden with pain, and unable to work.  Has anyone relied on Fentanyl during their pregnancy, and what was your outcome??  There just aren't any studies out there with info.

Is your OB aware of what's going on?    I'm sure you know Fentanyl is a powerful drug.  I would assume your OB is working with your pain doc as to reducing the Fentanyl.  You don't say what you're on the Fentanyl for.  Is your OB experienced with this sort of situation?  I don't know much beyond the basics of narcotics and pregnancy.  I know stopping abruptly can cause miscarriage and there's a possibility of the baby going into withdrawal, though as long as everyone knows what's going on and there are no surprises.
