foot neuropathy
I have nerve damage from 2 foot surgeries and my foot doctor suggests 16 shots of novocaine twice a week for 8 weeks and that will act as a nerve block, and tell my brain I have no more pain. Have you heard of this for and if is good?

Yes. Certain types of chronic pain is a learned response of the spinal cord to peripheral nerve pain. The nervous system can "unlearn" chronic pain if the peripheral pain stimulus is blocked.
However, each pain syndrome is unique based on many factors, like length and severity of pain, location and type of pain stimulus, and the microanatomy of one's spinal cord.
