forehead bone

Hi ive had pain in my  forehead just above my eyes and nose... its sharp pain it almost feels like cartillage. I have had ct and mri scans they said it was nothing but that was a year ago and yet it seems to grow larger.  If  i press hard into my forehead it makes a clicking sound and i can move the "cartillage" around but i dont no if thats what it is. The pain feels as if theres a elephant sitting on my forehead. Sometimes its hard to see and if im tired the pain increases. Could someone help me thanks.

I agree with Tuck that it could be cysts.  It could also be polyps in your sinuses.  Did they check your sinuses?  It sounds like it could potentially be a massive infection.
I know this one sounds trivial, but I have also been told that one should get their eyes checked if they're having pain like that.  It also could be a migraine.  Migraines are much more than headaches.  Sometimes you can see little dots or other squigglies in your vision that aren't obviously there, etc, or have blurry vision.
I hope you get it figured out!

Hi Jon,

Welcome to the Pain Mangement Forum. I am glad that you found us but so sorry to hear about your unusual pain.

If it has been a year since you have had this checked you certainly need to return to your physician for further investigation testing. If something is "growing"  it need a medical evaluation asap.

There are many ppl with cyst like "lumps" on their forehead or other areas. They are often benign and nothing shouldn't raise undue concerned. The fact that you can "move it around" most likely means that it is not attached to anything...which can be a good indicator that it is not serious. However I am far from an expert. It is always good to make sure that it is exactly what you or your PCP thinks it is, so please have it evaluated again.

I'll look forward to your updates. I hope you will share with us the results of your consultation. I wish you the best of luck.

Take Care,
~Tuck
