forged prescription

So i had an issue the other day.

I have been on pain meds for a while(reluctantly) and i even personally asked to get off them. Recently it was too much so i went to the hospital and got a prescription for percs.

Anyway i went to fill it im amd the pharmacist said that the prescription was altered. However, hand to god i did not alter it. I fought it for a long time, finally got them to send the 'altered' prescription to the hospital to compare and in fact yhe 2 looked lkke it was chsnged to a 4.

So i called back and i apologized for making a scene necause i did freak out at the pharmacist because he was rude, wouldn't show me the forged document and overall an ***. So they're sending it to the cops which w.e i know i personally didn't do it not worried.

My issue is will this be kn my doctors chart

As i take clonazepam every night for a sleep disorder im worried about the implications of this.

Background of myself: i hate pills, i went to therapy for 2 years before even deciding to try meds for my anxiety n sleep disorder. They tried to convince me the whole tkme it might help.

This is an anonymous forum, if i did it id say so. But i consider myself smart,- if i changed the number of pills the doses wouldn't add up and a lot of times with narcotics thr doctors call to confirm anyway.

Help?

If the 2 prescriptions didn't match someone had to change the numbers. Was there anyone else that had access to your prescription sheet?
I was wondering too, why you didn't just go to your Dr if you were in pain? If your Dr prescribed them for you before and you quit taking them on your own then they shouldn't have had a problem giving you a small prescription.
It's really hard to say if this problem will get back to your current Dr or your new Dr. I think the pharmacy does have the right to call your Dr about this.
I agree with the above poster, you may have to seek legal counsel about this.
I hope everything works out for you.

In a normal world the pharmacist would throw the script min the garbage, but many of them believe they are F.B.I. agents. You have a legal problem and should NOT be talking to anyone except in the presence of an attorney. Under NO circumstances talk to police if they question you. If he reports the issue it will get back to the doctor, who may refuse to write further script. Right now, legally speaking unless you open your mouth, they can't prove you changed the numbers --  This is what is a minor issue that could turn into criminal charges. It would pay to have a talk with an attorney.
