how long does it take for gabapentin to take effect

in my experience if you are going to feel any relief it should be within 2 weeks. how long have you been taking it now? and how many mg. are you taking?
I've been on this for a few years and it definitely has given me some help, needed to be increased over time of course.

It may never work, it is given for nerve ending pain in my case I took it for 12months, also tried pregabaline, to no avail, I only speak personally of the drug, my partner took it for years for perlifiral neauropathy thought to have been brought on by alcohol abuse, he has stopped taking it 6 months ago pain is no better or worse. My pain for Erythromelalgia was not helped. I hope you are more successfull with it. It is usually increased gradually, and stopped gradually. Good luck Anita.
