I feel I should jump in on this thread.

Opana ER is extended release oxymorphone.  It is most powerful opioid pain reliever in pill form on the market today based solely on pharmacology.  I was on this medication from Jan-Apr of this year at 30 mg bid (i.e., twice a day).

5 mg of Opana ER is equivalent to 10 mg of oxycodone.  Oxycodone is the active ingredient in Percocet.

I don't know how many 5/325 mg Percocets you were taking a day before switching to the Opana ER 5 mg, but to have equivalent pain relief from the Opana ER, you had to have taken only 2 Percocets a day.  If you were taking more than 2 Percocets a day then the switch to Opana ER 5 mg was a step down in terms of pain relieving strength.

Sorry, I meant to say I went on the sit I gave you and there are coupons to help pay for the new meds.  I would use that
Have a great day!

This Oxymorphone ER, it may help your pain better and does not appear to have anything other than a pain med which may be better for your liver
Good luck

Everyone is different and what works for one person may not for another.  Give the new med a bit of time to see if it helps.  How often are you taking the Opana ER versus how often were you taking the oxycodone?
