hydrocodone taper&withdrawal symptoms

by kimmiek, Oct 18, 2007 07:24PM
ive been on hydrocodone for 3 yrs. due to neck injury in auto accident -  7.5s then 10s -  now i go to a pain management doc.  i get a compound for 30mg time release hydrocodone/200 tylenol.  i take 3-4 a day. i started to taper them last wednesday.  with 2 for a few days, then 1 1/2 for a few days.  then 3/4 for a few days, then a half for few days. today is the first day with NONE!!!  yee haa!!!  i feel  crappy, no energy, sweating my #@! off!!  then get cold, just a general crappy feeling.  Does any one know how long I will probably feel this way.  I really would like to feel better.  I'm gonna be getting more next monday.  I dont want to take them because i dont want to do this withdrawal again.  It really stinks!!!  but i do have legit pain, so i feel like im caught in a bad situation.  any info or insight would be appreciated.  thanks. . . . . kimmiek
