Yes I have it administered to me post-op several years ago. Nothing they gave me seemed to help my pain. Finally after me ranting and raving (I'm not nice when I have severe post-op pain) the resident order me dilaudidDilaudid Dilaudid-5 Dilaudid-hp. It was amazing. I had great pain relief. It was given IM or IV, I don't remember exactly. I do remember that it took 90% of the pain away.
dilaudid-5 is the liquid 1mg per ml form of hydromorphone dilaudid i was wondering how effective it is, i was gonna have my doctor change my oxycodone liquid to diaudid liquid.
What works well for one, doesn't necessarily work well for another. We are all different. In theory it should do well for you but you won't know until your physician prescribes it and you try it.
I wish I could be more definitive for you. But as I said we all react differently to different medications. Again please let us know how well it works for you. I don't think there are a lot of CP patients that take dilaudid for term pain management.

It is a very strong opiate. I hope it will work for you and that you will share the results with us. Take care. I will look forward to hearing from you. Tuck
