Hi Handson,
Here;s my two cents worth. Yes it is effective for short term relief. It has not reduced the need for narcotics but together they offer greater pain relief than individually.
We just need to get insurance companies to approve payment of therapeutic message. I'd go twice a week.
Thank you for bringing this information to this forum. There may be some that are not aware of the benefits. Best of luck to you, Tuck
Good for you! And good for your Doctor....so many of them think that we're quacks....lol I work closely with a Neurosurgeon who has all the faith in the world in me....God love him! Take care

It is very effective and so sad that most insurance companies won't take care of it....I have found in my practice that most insurance companies will take care of it if there is a doctor referral/script...it just depends on the carrier.
In my practice I strive for long term relief and have been successful at doing so.....I just wish I could help everyone here. Take care

I have found that massage therapy was very effective in reducing pain temporarily.I would use it weekly if my insurance would pay for it.
Hi Hands_on. I have tried everything. The message therapy you are talking about has been helpful in the past and often my Doctor will use this technique during my office visit. He is a big believer in massage therapy.
I do believe others should try this for their back pain as it's been helpful with me.
Thank's for the information...Take care,
