knee pain while sleeping

Over the past month while I am sleeping and I turn over I get pain in my right knee. Once I settle after the turn it goes away and I fall back to sleep. I also get some pain in my right shoulder at the same time. On several occasions I was not able to get back to sleep right away.

Any suggestions for the cause and how to fix it so I can sleep thru the night.?

Texas Joe, pain in joints during sleep are usually in my experience muscular cramps that pull on age weakened tendons and ligaments in knees, hip and arms. You might try getting out of bed have a cool glass of water and go back to bed in different position. Sweet dreams are made of this.
