left shoulder and arm pain
My boyfriend has been having really bad pains in his left shoulder and arm. He says it is a sharp burning pain that goes to and around the left bicep.He is a carpet installer and when he works and he useshis arm it doesn't bother him at all, but when he is relaxed and sitting is when it hurts the most. I massage icy hot on his arm and shoulder and it feels better for a few minutes, and I also give him an ice pack, which only helps for a few mintues. Could it be a pinched nerve or a torn ligament? The pain seems to be getting worse everyday to the point where it is unbearable. Please help!!
I had the same pain a few years ago... my pain management doctor did a medial branch nerve block in T-12/L-1 and the pain went away and has not returned. The block was only supposed to be temporary but it has been permanent so far. Good luck. Hope you feel better!
